LT98x - Special Yokes
SPECIAL YOKES DEVELOPED FOR THE 1000 TONS GANTRY CRANE AT LINDØ INDUSTRIAL PARK

The yokes are connecting three individual hoists (300 t each) of the Gantry into one single 900 t lifting point. The project included the specification of lifting forces during the upending of a 760 t jacket, the approval of the strength of the jacket around the lifting points, and finally the design of a lifting yoke used for both the upending process and during vertical transport of the jacket, and the devices that are welded on the bottom end of the jacket to support the sling during the 90-degree rotation.
